Book Talk = Elijah Of Buxton

I read an exciting book called Elijah Of Buxton By:Christopher Paul Curtis. Elijah is one of the main characters. He can shoot down 5 planks of wood with 2 bullets. Imagine you could do that and you can use a gun! Elijah’s friend’s family is in slavery. His friend was saving up money to get his family out of slavery when out of the blue someone robs him. Now his friend counts on Elijah to find the thief because he is a good detective. I think I learned to be brave and help friends because Elijah helped his friends by helping him look for the thief and looking for a thief that might have been armed is really brave. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure and historical fiction. I would recommend Elijah of Buxton because it is a good book that has a lot of adventure. My overall opinion is that this book is excellent for people who like to read.

My Real Name

The Right Name

My name was made by my dad. He chose it because my mom wanted to call me Miguel but my dad said no. Too many relatives were called Miguel so my Dad thought of Misael which is a close name to Miguel to make my mom happy. My Mom said, “OK.”
I prefer Misael because my parents knew it was right for me. I also like it because it is my true name and my parents chose it for me. I don’t like my nickname (Michie) because my sister made it and it is not my real name.
My name has only one nickname the one I stated above (Michie). It is something you can get anywhere from anyone. My sister made it when she was 5 and I was 2 and she had a hard time saying it so she made Michie or Mich. They still call me Mich at home, short for Misael, and I prefer it at home.

I wouldn't change my name for many reasons. One, it is my true name that my parents gave me. Two, it is special to me because it is the real me. Lastly, it is something that belongs to me.

My name means Who is what God is? It suits me because no matter what my name means it is still special. To me it is like a special color. It is like a rainbow.  It is Hebrew. I didn’t really know that until I looked it up. I don’t know if my parents have a different meaning. It is something that you can not get anywhere else. That is why my name is special.

How I became involved in soccer (team Chelsea)

It was a sunny day and my friend came over. We were playing soccer. He told me he liked Real Madrid. I watched them play vs Chelsea and I saw Chelsea was winning and they had good skills. Then I liked them and I didn't care if they lost because I just wanted to enjoy soccer. That's when I got involved with soccer (Chelsea).

Dreamers

I am interested in dreamers. Martin Luther King Jr. is a dreamer. He got there by trying hard for no segregation. I got interested in this by knowing that different people have different dreams. This will lead me to get to Harvard because one day I will try and try and try and I will get to Hard hopefully when I finish High School. I want to get to Harvard to be a lawyer.
